Video: Armytrix A90 Supra Downpipe Dyno Testing

After nearly two decades, Toyota has brought back the Supra, and while some enthusiasts might not like its BMW DNA, the A90 Supra has already become a popular platform to modify. Although you could argue the B58 under the hood is nowhere near as awesome as the 2JZ, it’s still a great engine with a massive amount of potential.

As with other turbocharged BMW engines such as the N54 or N55, the B58’s exhaust system is fairly restrictive. More specifically, the OEM downpipe off the turbocharger is very restrictive and replacing it can yield massive gains. Our friends over at ECUWerks were testing their tuning solution with the Supra and also installed our Armytrix downpipe to see what kind of performance they could squeeze out of the B58.

On their first pull with nothing but their tuning module installed, the A90 Supra put down 413whp and 491wtq. As you can see from the massive torque figure, Toyota and BMW specifically used a small turbocharger to improve low-end power and throttle response. With the same tuning module installed, plus the Armytrix downpipe, the A90 Supra put down 459whp and 521wtq, representing a gain of 46whp and 30wtq!

We expect to see even larger gains with a full exhaust system in the future. Be sure to check out the video below to see the Armytrix downpipe in action!
1st Pull:

  • Power: 413whp and 491wtq

2nd Pull:

  • Power: 459whp and 521wtq

We Made the Porsche GT3 Sound Incredible! Armytrix Valvetronic Exhaust Installed!

As you probably already know, Porsche builds some of the best sports cars in the world. The Porsche 911, specifically, is one of the most iconic cars of all time. Near the top of the 911 hierarchy, the GT3 and GT3RS offer performance to take on some of the best supercars in the world.

Porsche worked hard to give the GT3 and GT3RS insane levels of performance, but it still had to be a comfortable road car. This need for comfort forced Porsche to use very quiet exhaust systems on the GT3 and GT3RS.

As enthusiasts, we all want our cars to sound as awesome as they look. Luckily for 991 GT3 owners, there are lots of awesome options for aftermarket exhaust systems. This 991 GT3 came to the Vivid Racing shop for a VR Tuned ECU flash and an Armytrix Valvetronic exhaust.

Why Choose Armytrix?

What makes the Armytrix exhaust unique, is the Valvetronic system. The Valvetronic system allows you to switch between being quiet and being loud with the push of a button via the included remote or through the smartphone application; this works by tapping into a vacuum source on your engine and connecting it to the control module.

This OBDII module tells the exhaust valve module to allow the engine vacuum to open or close the exhaust valve. You can also set the exhaust valve module to an automatic mode which will open/close the exhaust valve based on predetermined RPM range or throttle position. For the 991 GT3, this means you can keep your car quiet in the neighborhood, but open the valves and let it scream on the open road!

The Result

After installation, we took this 991 GT3 out on the road to test the exhaust. Thanks to the Valvetronic feature, we could keep the GT3 quiet in town, but once we got out to the open road, we let it sing. We left the catalytic converters in place, since this is a road car and needs to abide with the law. Check out the full video below!

Product Overview: Armytrix Valvetronic Exhaust for 2015+ Ford Mustang

It’s no secret that the Ford Mustang is one of the most iconic American cars of all time. It offers superb performance at a very affordable price, making it a very popular choice for enthusiasts. Under the hood of the 2015+ Mustang GT, you’ll find Ford’s infamous 5.0L Coyote engine which outputs over 400hp.

With a 5.0L V8 under the hood, you would expect the Mustang to have a fantastic exhaust note, but Ford kept it very quiet and boring. Many aftermarket exhaust systems are too quiet or too loud, leaving you unhappy after installation. Luckily, the Armytrix exhaust for 2015+ Mustang is the perfect solution.

With our unique Valvetronic exhaust, you can keep your Mustang as quiet as stock or insanely loud with the press of a button. This works by using an exhaust valve to direct exhaust gases through or around the mufflers. We also offer a full Valvetronic exhaust system for the 2.3L EcoBoost Mustangs!

Aside from the awesome Valvetronic system, our Armytrix exhaust system also provides a big boost in power. For 5.0L Mustangs, you can expect +13hp gains. EcoBoost models can expect +16hp gains.

Video: Goonzquad Huracan Armytrix Titanium Exhaust

When it comes to exotic performance cars, the Lamborghini Huracan is one of the most popular vehicles on the market right now. With an awesome engine, a great chassis, better-than-average reliability (for an exotic car), all wrapped up in an “affordable” price, it’s no wonder why the Huracan is so popular.

Goonzquad, an automotive YouTube channel which buys and rebuilds cars, recently got their hands on a wrecked Huracan. Through the process of repairing and rebuilding their Huracan, they also added an Armytrix titanium exhaust system.

As shown in their YouTube video, an Armytrix titanium exhaust is significantly smaller and lighter than the OEM exhaust. On top of being significantly lighter than the OEM exhaust, the Armytrix exhaust also flows more, resulting in increased power. On top of the performance gains, the Armytrix Valvetronic exhaust sounds much better and louder than the OEM exhaust.
Features:

  • Increased exhaust flow
  • More power
  • Lightweight design
  • Valvetronic system

Video: Armytrix Valvetronic Exhaust Installed on Audi R8 V10 Plus

We all know how awesome the Audi R8 is. It’s loaded with Audi luxury and feel, but it uses the same engine as the Lamborghini Huracan. It’s fast, looks awesome, and performs well, but it lacks the sound many enthusiasts want from an awesome supercar.

Audi kept the exhaust system relatively quiet to appeal to a wide range of buyers and because of government restrictions. Luckily, it’s easy to replace the OEM exhaust system in favor of something which flows better than stock and provides a fantastic sound.

The problem with many aftermarket exhaust systems is the overall sound being too high or too low. Once you install the exhaust, it’s hard to make it louder or quieter, leaving you stuck with an exhaust you’re not happy with. We’ve solved this problem by using our Valvetronic system which uses an exhaust valve to direct the exhaust gas through or around the mufflers.
Features:

  • Increased exhaust flow
  • More power
  • Lightweight design
  • Valvetronic system
